If your initial search returned too many hits, you may want to try a more targeted search. Here are some suggestions:
- Try using advanced search operators. Simply searching for John Smith will return every record containing John, plus every record containing Smith. Advanced operators, such as quotation marks and wildcards, help narrow down your search results.
Try restricting your sources. Are your search results being flooded with thousands of hits from a jurisdiction you don't care about? Toggle that Source off to hide those results.
Try narrowing down your result options by including another search term such as a patronymic, a nationality, an address, the name of a city, or a related party.
- Consult our search tips for finding people, companies, addresses, and ID numbers.
